Terms of Service

1.Who can use MiniWiki

You can sign up and use MiniWiki only if you are 14 or older. MiniWiki is used in many countries, so if the law where you live sets a higher age, you must be at least that age. And if the law where you live requires minors to get a parent or guardian’s consent to use a service like this, please get that consent before using MiniWiki.

2.Your MiniWiki is yours

The writing, photos, and visibility of the MiniWiki you make are all up to you. Writing, editing, deleting, and deciding who sees it are entirely your call. Every page starts private.

Your Memory (the records you keep by date that only you can see) is yours too. No matter your wiki’s visibility, only you can ever see your Memory. The MiniWiki team cannot see it either.

3.Who can see your MiniWiki

For each page you can choose private, friends only, or public. Even pages set to public are blocked from search sites. The content and photos of private and friends-only pages, your Memory, messages, and friend request messages cannot be seen by the MiniWiki team either. Questions you send through Help are a conversation addressed to the MiniWiki team, so the team reads them in order to answer you. If someone reports a message or a comment left on a section, the team reviews that content and who wrote it in order to handle the report. And if you appeal after the team hides a public page (writing why you think it is fine and asking the team to look again), the team sees that page’s text and photos again while reviewing your appeal. For private and friends-only pages, the team does not open the text even when you appeal (see the Privacy Policy for details).

Friends-only has one exception, for a single photo. Your writing and other photos stay visible to MiniWiki friends only, but the one photo in your main page’s basic info appears to other logged-in people as a round profile picture, so they can recognize you and find friends. People who are not logged in do not see it. If you would rather not, delete that photo or set the page to private.

Public pages can appear in recommendations inside MiniWiki. Your page may show up where MiniWiki picks pages to show, such as “Browse at random” or the Explore screen. Search sites are still blocked. If you would rather not, set the page to friends only or private, or tell us at the contact email below.

4.How MiniWiki uses what you write

The rights to what you write and the photos you upload stay yours. MiniWiki does not take them. But to show your MiniWiki, we need to store your writing and photos, adapt them to fit the screen, and show them to other people according to the visibility you chose. So you give us permission to use them only as far as that work needs.

When you ask for it, the AI writes or polishes your writing with you, and translates it to show people who use another language. When you make an Instagram story card from the share button, we pick some sentences from your page and turn them into a card image. To keep everyone safe, we check public pages automatically and review reports when they come in. We hand parts of this work to companies that provide storage, servers, and AI, and only within the same purpose (the Privacy Policy lists who does what).

This permission lasts only while your writing is on MiniWiki. It ends when you delete it or delete your account, except for the time it takes to clear backups and for anything the law requires us to keep. MiniWiki never sells what you write, and never uses it in ads without asking you first.

In turn, the MiniWiki name and logo, the screen design, and the software that runs the service belong to the company that makes MiniWiki. Your writing and photos are yours, but please do not copy MiniWiki’s screens or software, or reuse them in another service, without permission.

5.AI help

MiniWiki’s AI helps you write and polish your pages. In your Memory you can also chat with the AI and get a draft of a record. The content you exchange is sent to Anthropic’s servers so the AI can respond (see the Privacy Policy for details). Anything the AI writes is added to your page only after you review and edit it, and you can always fill an empty page yourself without AI. When someone who uses another language opens a page, MiniWiki may show them an AI-translated version. A translation can differ slightly from what you wrote, and what you wrote is what counts.

The AI can be wrong. Writing, answers, translations, and cards made by the AI may contain things that are inaccurate or awkward. MiniWiki does not promise that AI results are accurate. Please read them once before using them as they are, and decide for yourself whether to post them. AI answers are not a substitute for advice from a professional such as a doctor, lawyer, or financial adviser.

6.What not to do on MiniWiki

• Don’t write false things about other people or harass them.
• Don’t defame others or post insults or obscene content.
• Don’t post other people’s personal information carelessly.
• Don’t post photos or images of other people without their consent.
• Don’t pretend to be another person or organization (impersonation). MiniWiki is a wiki about you.
• Don’t post ads, spam, the same thing over and over, or piles of links.
• Don’t post anything illegal, or anything that encourages or helps a crime.
• Don’t lend or hand your account to someone else, and don’t log in to someone else’s account.
• Don’t scrape MiniWiki’s writing or photos with programs (bots, crawlers). Don’t access the servers in ways other than the screens and features MiniWiki gives you, disrupt the service, or take the software apart.

7.If you break these rules

If we confirm that someone broke these rules or the law, MiniWiki may act immediately without prior notice to stop the harm from spreading. We may hide the page or account from others, cut off share links you already handed out, suspend the account, or in serious cases delete the account right away (terminate the service agreement). Anyone who sees problematic content can report it, and the MiniWiki team reviews and handles it. Public pages may also be checked automatically for potentially problematic content, and what the automatic check finds is acted on only after the MiniWiki team reviews it directly (see the Privacy Policy for details). In particular, if you defame others or post insults, obscene content, and the like, the page may be hidden, or the account may be suspended or deleted. If you believe an action was a mistake, you can appeal right from the hidden page. You can appeal only once, within a limited window, and the MiniWiki team takes another look and tells you the result. For a public page, filing an appeal lets the team see that page as it was when it was hidden. For a private or friends-only page, the team does not open the text: it decides again from what was reported and from the page’s outward details. If the window has passed or you want to talk about the result further, tell us at the contact email below.

If breaking these rules or the law causes harm to MiniWiki or to someone else, the person who broke them is responsible for that harm. If MiniWiki ends up compensating someone else because of it, MiniWiki may ask that person to pay it back.

8.MiniWiki is still growing

MiniWiki is still being built, so features may change or pause briefly. We will let you know about important changes in advance. For brief pauses due to maintenance or failures, we notify you beforehand when we can. If it is urgent, we notify you afterward instead.

MiniWiki may also stop or slow down because of a problem at the storage, server, AI, or login companies we use, or at the app stores, operating systems, or internet networks. These are hard for MiniWiki to prevent directly, so where it is not MiniWiki’s fault, it is hard for us to take responsibility. We will still restore service as fast as we can.

If MiniWiki has to shut down or remove some features, we will tell you inside the service at least 30 days ahead, and by email if we have your email. When the service ends, we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9.Using the MiniWiki app

• Some screens may update automatically when the app opens, without a store update.
• Very old versions are hard to keep safe, so if your app is below the minimum version, it shows a blocking screen and points you to the store. Updating lets you continue.
• The operating system may occasionally show a prompt asking you to rate the app. MiniWiki asks for it at most once every 7 days and six times a year, and the operating system may show it fewer times than that. Nothing happens if you skip it.
• You can turn app notifications off anytime in your device settings. The Memory reminder (a notification at a time you choose asking whether you want to write today) arrives only if you turn it on, and you can turn it off inside the app (see the Privacy Policy for details).

10.You’re responsible for what you upload

• The writing and photos you upload to MiniWiki are your own creation, so you are responsible for their content.
• MiniWiki is not responsible for problems caused by what you uploaded (for example, posting someone else’s writing or photos without permission, or writing things that are not true).
• Disputes between users over writing, photos, or messages should in principle be resolved between the people involved. MiniWiki reviews reports and takes the necessary actions, but does not take responsibility for the dispute itself.
• You look after your own account, password, and the devices you’re logged in on. If it looks like someone else is using your account, change your password right away and tell us at the contact email below. It is hard for MiniWiki to take responsibility for problems caused by careless account management.

11.MiniWiki’s faults are MiniWiki’s responsibility

• Problems or brief outages in the MiniWiki service itself may cause inconvenience.
• If MiniWiki causes harm intentionally or through gross negligence, MiniWiki is responsible. We do not limit or exclude this responsibility.
• For other harm caused by MiniWiki’s fault, MiniWiki is responsible to the extent the law provides. However, we are not responsible for harm arising from special circumstances we could not have foreseen.
• If the law where you live says a certain responsibility cannot be removed, MiniWiki is responsible to the extent that law requires, whatever these terms say.

12.If you want to stop using MiniWiki

You can delete your account anytime in account settings. You do not have to tell us in advance or give a reason. When you delete it, we delete your MiniWiki, your Memory, and your account information as described in the Privacy Policy. Anything the law requires us to keep, and reports still being handled, remain only for that period.

13.MiniWiki is free

MiniWiki is free to use right now. If a paid feature appears later, we will first tell you what it costs and how payment works, and charge only the people who choose it. If you do not choose it, you can keep using MiniWiki free as you do today.

14.When these terms change

When we change these terms, we will post inside the service when the change takes effect and why we made it, starting 7 days before it applies. For important changes that are unfavorable to you, we will start 30 days before and also let you know through a service notification or email. If you do not agree with the change, you can delete your account before it takes effect. If you keep using MiniWiki after the notice period without deleting your account, we take that as agreeing to the changed terms.

However, if a change in the law requires us to update these terms quickly, we may shorten the notice period as far as the law allows. Even then, we will tell you before the changed terms apply.

15.Which country's law MiniWiki follows

These terms and your use of MiniWiki follow the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it through conversation, and if that does not work, in the court that has jurisdiction under the law.

If you live in another country, its law may include consumer protections that must always apply. You keep those protections regardless of these terms. If the law where you live lets you bring a dispute to a court in your own country, you keep that right too.

These terms are shown in several languages. If a translation and the Korean original differ in meaning, the Korean original applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
